Thoughts on Europe and India!!

Life is a dream!!

This abroad visit opened up more economical and social thoughts in me..
1) The material standard of living is good(in fact may be ideal here!!) and expensive. But what is the state of mental happiness?
2) There are differences in family life, cultural life and food habits. But the one where there is deep difference is family life and personal relations.
3) Where is the world order moving into with this open economy? What benefits it is going to give the rich and poor countries? Will countries like India ever catch up to the living standard of country like Sweden?

Countries look upon India for
1) Low labour costs.(Outsource)
2) Manufacturing of their products.(Outsource)
3) Market for their products.

What countries like India need
1) Capital and money flow to feed their population.
2) Save energy and money to build their infrastructure.
3) Prevent capital waste due to ignorance and corruption.
4) Balance between export and import, production and consumption
(Applicable to country and individual).
5) Understand that material and sophisticated life is not the only
the mark of prosperous country.
6) Conserve the natural wealth(already depleted by a large extent)
and environment.

Life is a dream!!

On a Friday night Oct 16th in Sweden

Life is a dream!!

Much unexpected travel....Arrived in Lund Sweden on 8th Aug 2009
with wife and daughter...A good place during summer.
Lots of thoughts, during the past few weeks..
1) Standard of living in Europe and
comparisons with Indian standard of living.
What challenges are there for country like India to provide
a similar standard of living?
2) What will be my life if I look back at the age
of lets say 60? How am I shaping my life? How is my career going to be?
How am I going to balance my life's ambitions?
3) What are my job goals? How effectively should I use my
presence here in the current location?

Life is a dream!!!
